Comments
Went for an assessment outing to check snowpack conditions and terrain at McCrae. Spent most of the day in the clouds at treeline and BTL, and saw a little bit of the sun in the alpine. Alpine conditions were variable, but we heard whumpfs and natural avalanches happening, we didn't see any activity though. Alpine snowpack was highly affected by wind and solar events. Riding conditions were not great.
HS of 125cm on SW aspect at 2150 elev. with prominent basal facets.
At treeline there was up to 3cm size surface hoar and riding was good/powder.
